How payments work
Members pay by card through Stripe, and the money goes straight into your club’s bank account. You pay Stripe’s standard card rates, set by Stripe, not us.
FreshRally adds a 0.5% fee on online payments. On a $75 renewal, that’s about 38 cents. Donors can choose to cover the fees on their gift.
Checks, cash and bank transfers you record yourself are free.
Questions boards ask us
Who counts as an active member?
Each current membership, including those in their renewal grace period. A household or company membership counts once, however many people it covers. Lapsed members, applicants, guests, donors and newsletter subscribers are free.
What happens if we grow past our plan?
Nobody is turned away. FreshRally checks your member count each day, and if you outgrow your plan it moves you up to the next one; you pay only the difference for the rest of your billing period. You can also switch plans yourself at any time, and a smaller plan starts at your next renewal.
What if a payment to FreshRally is late?
Nothing changes for 14 days. After that, the board’s admin pages become read-only until the bill is paid. Your members can still join, renew, register for events and donate the whole time.
What does switching cost?
Importing your members and website yourself is free, and you can undo and redo an import as often as you need. If you’d rather we do the move for you, email us at hello@freshrally.com and we’ll give you a price for your club.
Can we take our data with us?
Yes. Download your members as a spreadsheet, or your whole organization as a single file, whenever you want. You don’t need to ask us.
Do you take a cut of our dues or donations?
Only the 0.5% fee on online payments described above. Stripe’s card fees go to Stripe. Offline payments are free.
